Community History
Leeds has a proud Bangladeshi community that grew through the latter half of the twentieth century. Concentrated in Harehills and Chapeltown, the community has developed strong institutions including mosques, cultural centres, and supplementary schools that keep cultural heritage alive for younger generations.
